Wondered if this might be of interest to colleagues.

NTU Art & Design Library

The University for the Creative Arts has just launched a digital archive of work by British fashion designer Zandra Rhodes.

Researchers and students have worked alongside Zandra Rhodes to prepare, photograph, and catalogue 500 dresses and garments selected from the designer’s private archive, including pieces worn by icons such as Princess Diana, Jackie Onassis, Elizabeth Taylor, and Diana Ross.

The project has also created contextual learning materials which explore her creative processes and production techniques, through video interviews, video tutorials, and drawings.

The site is free to access and can be found at http://www.zandrarhodes.ucreative.ac.uk/p/welcome.html

Images from the collection are also available via the VADS site http://vads.ac.uk/collections/ZR.php, and have a CC BY-NC-SA Creative Commons licence.
