What:  Fashion, Textile & Costume Special Interest Group Annual Meeting

When:  Friday May 2, 2014 2:00pm – 3:00pm

Where:  Wilson Room at the Grand Hyatt, 1000 H Street NW, Washington D.C.

The ARLIS/NA Fashion, Textile & Costume Special Interest Group (FTC SIG) annual meeting is on the conference schedule.  FTC SIG members and anyone else who’s interested are welcome to attend!  Though it’s not required, if you plan on attending, kindly log in to the conference schedule’s FTC SIG Meeting notice and click “Add to my schedule.”  We love to know who’s planning to attend!
AGENDA (thus far)
1) Welcome and Introductions
2) New and noteworthy databases for FTC-related research
3) Discussion of 2013 blog changes and Fashion Librarians’ Resource Guide
4) Brainstorm FTC tours, presentations for ARLIS/NA 2015
5) Bloomsbury Publishing – Academic Division, Kevin Ohe
Agenda items 2 – 4 will be brief. I would like to leave at least 30 minutes for Kevin Ohe who has exciting news from Bloomsbury.  If anyone would like to add anything to the agenda (discussion of issues or projects), we should be able to accommodate you. Simply e-mail additional agenda items to me ( by Friday, April 11, 2014.

  1. Thanks for asking, Sherri! I’m glad you’re interested in joining us, even if you can’t make it to the conference. While we won’t be set up for videoconferencing, I have asked for wireless internet connection in our meeting room. If we get it, perhaps you could simply be present via skype? If we could find you a FTC SIG skype partner, would that work for you? 🙂

      1. Great! Let’s see if anyone else expresses interest over the next few weeks. Then, about a week before the conference, please contact me off-list so I can take your Skype information. I’ll try to find someone at the meeting who’s willing to skype you in. (It might end up being me, but I have to decide if I need my laptop for the meeting notes first.) Thanks again for your interest!!! 🙂
