Hello FTC SIG’ers!
The ARLIS/NA Fashion, Textiles & Costume (FTC) Special Interest Group (SIG) meets on Wednesday, February 28 from 3:30 – 4:30. Join your colleagues to share ideas, discuss common challenges and hear about new information resources. We depend on our members to help shape the future of FTC librarianship!
Please let me know if you have any agenda items, or any issues you’d like to explore or discuss at our meeting.
A preliminary meeting agenda will be posted in January.
We’re looking forward to hearing your ideas, and seeing you all at the conference in New York City!
Here’s a lovely WWD news story to warm your heart… The new Associate Curator at the Met’s Costume Institute is part of the coven! (Her credentials include an M.A. in Library and Information Science from the University of Antwerp.)
Former MoMu Curator Karen van Godtsenhoven Joins the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute
(Julie L., my dear, you’ve been holding out on us! ;-))
Happy holidays everyone!
Does your library support learning across the applied visual arts (design, fashion, photography, film and animation, architecture and interiors)? We are interested in hearing about your and your patrons’ requirements for online educational and research resources, which will help to inform future developments in our digital publishing program.
We would appreciate it if you could complete our brief survey, which should take no longer than 5 minutes:
