Dear fellow SIG members,
Our annual meeting will be held on Friday, March 29, 2019 from 1pm to 1:50pm at the Venezia Garden Salon at the Grand America Hotel.
Right now, the agenda is wide open. Is there anything in particular you’d like to talk about? Perhaps there is a new book that you would like to recommend. Or maybe you are seeking user feedback on a database that you’ve heard about. (Personally, I’m interested in knowing if anyone has a Business of Fashion Professional membership.) Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with any agenda items.
Is your New Year’s Resolution to be more active with ARLIS?
The Fashion, Textile & Costume SIG would like to invite self-nominations for the role of Vice-Moderator for 2019-2020. The Vice-Moderator will assume the role of Moderator in 2020-2021.
Moderators and Vice-Moderators perform the following duties: reach out to new members, manage the SIG blog and resources, arrange webinars on resources for researching fashion, liaise with the ARLIS board, organize the SIG meeting at the ARLIS conference, organize additional events at the ARLIS conference as necessary. It’s fun and requires only a modest time commitment. The ability to attend the conferences in St. Louis in 2020 and Montreal in 2021 is beneficial, but not mandatory.
If interested, please email Jennifer Weinraub at email@example.com with a few sentences about yourself. If we receive 2 or more self-nominations, then the moderators (Olivia Warschaw and Shannon Robinson) may either select one vice-moderator, or choose to have 2 or more vice-moderators.
