A recent NPR article covering the disqualification of Olympic athletes due to issues relating to their uniforms is the latest of many reports that highlight clothing-related issues in sport that disportionately affect women.

The Olympic World Library, located at the Olympic Studies Center in Lausanne, Switzerland, has a handful of resources on the subject of gendered athletic attire. The relevant controlled vocabulary terms are: Fashion / Mode and Athlete Clothing / Vêtements des athlètes.
